Sinharaja Forest Reserve
Sinharaja Forest Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka, designated as a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO . It is the country's last viable area of primary tropical rainforest, known for its high biodiversity and endemic species. The reserve covers an area of 11,187 hectares and is located in the southwestern part of Sri Lanka. It is an essential conservation area and a popular destination for eco-tourists and researchers.
